Music Tastes
(Last updated 2005)
I mostly listen to things in the industrial area. WTF does that mean, you ask? Imagine a music continuum where you have electronic at one pole and hard rock on the other. Industrial sort of covers the space in between. As such, some bands lean more to the rock side, others more toward the electronic side. It's the electronic side that gets played at the club I go to, Leland City Club. Overall, it tends to be pretty dark, contain machine-like sounds (how the genre started out), and distorted vocals. Anyway, the main thing I look for in music is a sense of 'power' it conveys I guess. That's the best way I can explain it. That, or just straight-up ass kicking like White Zombie.
